Many years ago, one day, I finally got a hold of the then-banned book “Animal Farm” and read it in one go, closing the book with a sigh. My thoughts were numerous, and then I couldn’t resist reading it several more times… later on, I even copied it. Then I entered the “naive crazy salesperson […]
After graduating from university with an accounting degree, I went into sales. Why? Because I didn’t really grasp the concepts of accounting (you see, there are things I can’t learn). Another reason is that sales is an entry-level job, especially “front-line sales” – as long as you are willing to work hard, you can do […]
When I was very young, around fourteen or fifteen, one day my father told me a story and then asked me a particularly simple and direct question. He said, “Xiaolai, by now you know quite a few people. Do you consider them all your friends? Let me ask you, if one day you were in […]
Many people treat the concepts in textbooks as tools for passing exams. Once the exams are over, those concepts are discarded, often referred to as “returning them to the teacher.” This habit prevents most people from carefully examining the concepts they are using. Criticism is something that is there whether you see it or not, acknowledge it or not, care about it or not. From the time when I first heard about the criticisms others had of me, I was still in my adolescence and unable to comprehend the complexities of the world—like most people, I felt like […]

The term “independent thinking” – a rare ability possessed […]
In the previous section, the analogy mentioned (that we must continually upgrade our “operating system”) is the most important analogy in “New Life.” So here, it is indeed necessary for us to seriously study the concept of analogy and also sort out the methodology of using analogies. 在上一节中，提到的类比（我们必须不断升级我们的“操作系统”）是“新生活”中最重要的类比。所以在这里，我们确实有必要认真研究类比的概念，也梳理一下类比的方法论。 In general, an analogy is a thinking […]
